HereAndOk Book Reviews are for the pleasure and enjoyment of users. The opinions in the reviews are those of their respective authors, not the staff of HereAndOk.

The HereAndOk Book Review pages work well with both Netscape Version 6 and Internet Explorer Version 6. They work similarly well with Internet Explorer Version 5, though they have not been thoroughly tested. They work fairly well with Netscape Version 4. Other browsers and versions, except for very old versions, ought to work, but have not been tested.

Want to contribute a review to HereAndOk Book Reviews? You will need a HereAndOk User Id. Get a HereAndOk User ID. You will enter your e-mail address, desired password, and some optional information. Once you have set up your ID, you will be able to change its attributes.

If you already have a HereAndOk Id and want to write a Review or update a Review you already wrote, Log in to the HereAndOk Web site. From the list of books, select the one that you want to review. For writing book reviews, please use Version 6 of either Netscape or Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer Version 5 and Netscape Version 4 do work, as stated above, but the later versions are better, or at least have been more thoroughly tested.

HereAndOk must approve reviews before they are available for display to users. If you are writing and submitting a review, or modifying an existing review that you have already written, you do not need to request approval. The HereAndOk staff will read the review and either approve or reject it. You can see the status of your review by selecting the book in the Books list.

Use of the HereAndOk site constitutes agreement that you accept the Terms & Conditions for Book Reviews.

The HereAndOk Alphabetical Books List is a list of all books reviewed on the HereAndOk site, all on one Web page. The HereAndOk Authors List is a list of all authors for whom HereAndOk has book reviews. Ordinarily, it is easier and more flexible to use the main Book Reviews page. From Book Reviews, users can search by Author or by Title.

Privacy and Personal Information

HereAndOk collects a few pieces of personal information from people who wish to review books for the site. These are an e-mail address, a self-description, and a Web site address. HereAndOk will only divulge these on those screens where the person's reviews appear. Even on those screens, the e-mail address will only display if the reviewer has indicated that it should. HereAndOk will not provide this information on its own Web site or to third parties under other circumstances, unless presented with a valid subpoena. Users should note that HereAndOk's Web site runs on a third party hosting service. While we expect our hosting service to respect the privacy of our data, we here at HereAndOk do not take responsibility for the actions of the hosting service.

Please protect your password. Choose a password that will be very hard for someone else to guess or to figure out. Do not use the same password for the HereAndOk site that you use for other sites. HereAndOk is not responsible for what happens if someone learns and divulges or uses your password.

The HereAndOk site does not currently utilize permanent cookies, though we reserve the right to change this policy. The site does use session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser.
