| excellent. This is the 4th book of the Falkenberg's Legion series. It reads well on its own, but much better after the others. In particular, be sure to read Go Tell the Spartans first. It has excellent action and good characters. The military action is terrific. The politics make sense. The civilians evoke sympathy. Only the villains do not seem quite believable, because we can never see their motivations. Somehow, the collaboration of authors works and makes a book that is one of their best ever. |
