The fuure history suffers from its counting on the Soviet Union to stay around and be part of the story. Of course, the Soviet Union did not. Still, the books work despite this flaw. These books in this series concentrate on a group of mercenaries. The series actually improves as it moves along, which is unusual. Possibly, this is due to Stirling, who did not contribute to the first two books. | |
